An announcement from the LSA:
Important Notice!
September 7, 2010: LSA staff has learned that Hilton Hotels & Resorts has terminated its Franchise Licensing Agreement with the Pittsburgh hotel we have been planning to use for our January 2011 Annual Meeting. In addition, the lender has filed for foreclosure on the hotels owners, and the hotels management company has changed.
What this means for the 2011 Annual Meeting is not yet clear. We are working with all due haste to resolve this issue absolutely as soon as possible. In the meantime the LSA encourages you to continue planning to attend the Annual Meeting, but to refrain from making travel reservations until we know for certain where the meeting will be held, as there is a slight chance it may not be in Pittsburgh. As always, our primary consideration is that the LSA will have a suitable property in which to hold the best and most affordable possible meeting for its members.
We sincerely regret the inconvenience to our meeting attendees. We will seek a solution to this problem absolutely as soon as possible and will post the information on this web page once one has been achieved.
