Kai von Fintel, Professor of Linguistics, becomes Associate Dean of SHASS. Of the appointment, Dean Fitzgerald writes: 'It is with enormous pleasure that I announce that Kai von Fintel has agreed to serve as the Associate Dean of the School, effective 1 March 2008. Kai possesses all the right qualities for this challenging and interesting position, and I know that his great combination of intellectual acuity, institutional experience, and personal warmth will make him a terriļ¬c leader in the School.'
